Virtual Mats on the Socceroos

BV’s virtual mats solution has been used on all Australia-based Socceroos matches since 2017.

The system provides a real viable alternative to cam carpets which is unaffected by weather or wear. Photorealistic logos can be displayed on the pitch allowing a true representation of a sponsor's logos allowing fine details and color gradients.

The virtual content is placed next to the goal and even changed at halftime. The system adds the signage on the two main cameras which cover the main game and the logos are also in all replays from those cameras.
